Phillip Island is home to an astounding array of wildlife, including Australia’s largest fur seal colony, little penguins and cuddly koalas. Get up close with the remarkable penguins and wildlife of Phillip Island.

Your unforgettable day will commence with a visit to Moonlit Sanctuary Conservation Park where you are guaranteed plenty of close encounters with an array of Australian native animals like kangaroos, wombats and echidnas.

Next stop is Phillip Island where, time/season permitting, you’ll drive to Woolamai Surf Beach to catch a glimpse of the awesome waves and die-hard surfers. Following this, you then travel over to the dramatic west coast of the island. At the Nobbies, you will stroll along the boardwalk to experience the waves crashing along this dramatic coastline and perhaps spot a few seals and some penguin nests.

Finally, your Phillip Island Day Tour is not complete without its black-tie gala event: the Penguin Parade. You will first head to the Visitor Center for a chance to shop and have a coffee. Then last but certainly not least, you will meander along the boardwalk to the viewing platform. It’s time to relax and let the show begin. The little penguins will waddle ashore, decked out in their tuxedos as they hurry off to find their burrows.

Continue your drive in Apollo Bay down the Great Ocean Road. Continue no the Princes Highway through Warnambool and Port Fairy. You will join the Henty Highway and travel north until you rejoin the Princes Highway once again, taking you to Mount Gambier.

Depart Apollo Bay today as you continue on the Great Ocean Road. Along the way, you may stop at many attractions, such as Port Campbell National Park or Bay of Islands Coastal Park. Your drive should be relaxing, scenic, and enjoyable.

Continue on the Princes Highway headed towards Warnambool. You may stop at Logan’s Beach on the eastern side of the city, which is recognised as a nursery site for the Southern Right Whale. Most years one, two or three adult female whales arrive between late May and August, giving birth within days of their arrival.

From Warnambool, you will pass Port Fairy, which is the point where the Moyne River enters the Southern Ocean. Port Fairy was named after the crew of the whaler The Fairy in 1828. It is the home of one of Victoria’s largest fishing fleets. If you detour to visit the Otway National Park, and Cape Otway, you will need to add approximately 90 minutes to your driving time between Apollo Bay and Port Fairy.

Depart Port Fairy and continue to Portland. At Portland, you will join the Henty Highway and travel north to Heywood. At Heywood, you will turn left and re-join the Princes Highway. Along the way, you may want to stop at the picturesque Lower Glenelg National Park. The Glenelg River is the central feature of the Lower Glenelg National Park. Along the last part of its winding 400 kilometre path to the sea the river has carved a spectacular gorge up to 50 metres deep through limestone. River erosion and the action of rainwater have created a remarkable cave.There are great places for fishing, canoeing, camping and picnicking along the Glenelg River. Explore Lower Glenelg and Discovery Bay on the 250 kilometre Great South West Walk, linking Portland and Nelson via the river and coast. Another highlight is the Princess Margaret Rose Cave, where you can join a guided tour of amazing limestone formations.

Continue your self drive from Mount Gambier. You will drive along Riddoch Highway, Dukes Highway, and Princes Highway headed towards Victor Harbor.

Depart Mount Gambier in the morning and head to Riddoch Highway (A66). In about an hour and 15 minutes, you will pass Naracoorte, a city famous for its World Heritage. Consider stopping at the Naracoorte Caves National Park- a site that preserves Australia’s most complete fossil record for the past 500,000 years. There are about 26 caves at Naracoorte Caves National Park, though not all are open to the public. Some are set aside for scientific research or for protection of the caves and their contents. The cost to enter the park is free; however, tour fees apply. The most common mammals you will see are western grey kangaroos, but echidnas, wombats and sugar gliders also live here. In the evening you may be lucky enough to see brushtail possums emerging from the caves and trees to go about their nocturnal business. The park’s walking trails are a bird watcher’s paradise with thornbills, rosellas and honeyeaters in large numbers. In the gardens around the Wonambi Fossil Centre and the café you may also spot rare eastern yellow robins and eastern spinebills.

From Riddoch Highway, you will turn onto Duke’s Highway (A8 – Signs for Coonalpyn/Adelaide) and drive for about 100 km and then merge once again onto Princes Highway (A1) for another 125 km. This will take you to Murray Bridge, under three hours away. Murray Bridge is a city that boasts a vibrant river lifestyle. With a great climate, the region hosts more than 1.1 million visitors every year for business and holidays. Attractions include water sports, boating, fishing, swimming, motor sports, recreation, walking trails, restaurants and the International pedal prix. The Murray River is indeed a popular tourist attraction within South Australia – with Murray Bridge being the “crown” of the Murray Region, containing many attractions for people of all ages. The Murray River is a picturesque site of houseboats, paddle steamers and happy, relaxed people.

From Murray Bridge, consider taking a detour in Goolwa, which is just under an hour’s drive. Goolwa is a historic river port on the Murray River near the Murray Mouth in South Australia, and joined by a bridge to Hindmarsh Island. The name “Goolwa” means “elbow” in Ngarrindjeri, the local Aboriginal language. Goolwa in February of every odd-numbered year, Goolwa hosts the South Australian Wooden Boat Festival. The town is a popular holiday destination and home to the PS Oscar W, a paddle steamer.

From Goolwa, you will continue onto Victor Harbor, which is a short 20 minutes away. The township of Victor Harbor has long been a favoured holiday destination. Situated 80 kilometres south of Adelaide with a southern ocean frontage, the township offers an enjoyable experience for everyone. The panoramic views of the rugged granite landmark bluff and the well-known Granite Island are stunning. In winter the Southern Right Whales can be seen basking at Encounter Bay, only metres from the shore line.

Continue on to Victor Harbor; board a dolphin cruise (all year round), or a whale watching cruise (June – September) from Granite Island.

Situated on the Fleurieu Peninsula, Victor Harbor offers a bit of it all. From here you can experience coastal wildlife, sea views, relaxing strolls and adventure. When entering Victor Harbor be sure to look for the Bluff summit. The Bluff summit was created when granite formed by magma squeezed up from the deep in the continental crust about 500 million years ago. (The views from the summit are amazing but there is a 500m climb requiring a moderate level of fitness.) Try to find the time for a ride on the Clydesdale horse tram. This tram crosses a 600m wooden causeway to Granite Island, home to a colony of little penguins and the 2.9km Kaiki Trail. On your crossing be sure to look for schools of fish swimming around & under the causeway and for dolphins, seals and whales on the horizon. Return tickets on the tram are $7.00 per adult AUD (subject to change).

This is a beautiful and scenic drive through the small towns and villages of the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Second Valley Heritage Walk
Starting at the historic Leonards Mill in Second Valley, this self-guided heritage walk is brimming with fascinating history. Download a copy of the brochure beforehand, which complements the onsite information display boards.
As you walk, soak up the story of Leonards Mill which was formerly an operational flour mill, the old Finniss Vale Hotel which was established in 1856 and burned down in 1928, as well as the blacksmith’s shop and cottage and various war memorials.

The walk also passes by the site of two old steam-operated sawmills, and explains the history of the heritage-listed causeway and jetty. Allow 2 Hours.

Normanville
Known affectionately to locals as ‘Normy’, Normanville is a popular seaside resort town with long sandy beaches. Stroll along the white sands to nearby Carrickalinga or Lady Bay. A few blocks down the street look for a HUGE tree and you might just spot thousands of cockatoos!

Aldinga Beach
Aldinga Beach is one of the few beaches in Australia where cars are permitted to drive on sections of the broad sand, making access to the beach especially easy. It is renowned for its safe swimming and impressive surf, which sees the population in the local area boom come summer.

The D’arenberg Cube
The d’Arenberg Cube in McLaren Vale is a five storey multi-function building set among Mourvèdre vines.

Day 1 – Uluru Evening Tour Come and join a small-group Outback Australia tour to explore Uluru, the most profound and culturally significant monolith in Australia. Departing your resort, the tour will travel through the landscapes to the entrance of the Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. From this point it is only a matter of minutes before the specter of Uluru rises from the sand dunes to demonstrate its enormity and presence in this country .

Your first stop allows you a photographic opportunity of this amazing icon. With Uluru looming in front of you, your guide will journey toward the base. Walk with your guide to a place of tranquility. The closer you wander the more you surrender to the realization of the sheer size of this monolith.

As you drive around the base, your guide will take you to the entrance of Mutitjulu Waterhole, a semi-permanent watercourse nestled in the contours of Uluru. Here you will learn the Creation stories of Liru (poisonous snake) and Kuniya (python) as well as a number of other stories associated with other prominent Tjukurpa (Dreaming) stories.

You will see the rock art of the ancients and learn how Uluru was, and still is, a significant location for teaching young Aboriginal people. We then adjourn to the new Talinguru Nyakunytjaku viewing area ,where you will observe an uninterrupted view of Uluru with Kata Tjuta in the background. Your guide will then return to your accommodation at Ayers Rock Resort.

Day 2 – Kata Tjuta Morning Tour Revel in the early morning serenity of a truly spiritual place as the sunrise colors change on Kata Tjuta. Departing the resort, the tour will travel through the landscape to the entrance of Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. From there is it a 24mi journey through the desert landscape to the mighty rock formation.

On arrival at the viewing area, you walk to the best vantage point to see the 36 domes that comprise Kata Tjuta while watching the sun’s morning glow as the desert comes alive. You’ll make your way to the western side of Kata Tjuta where you will have the opportunity to relax and enjoy an outback picnic breakfast.

As you approach the entrance to Walpa Gorge, named for the wind (Walpa) that whistles between the massive domes of Kata Tjuta, your guide will share the significance of this men’s sacred ceremonial site. This tour has 300+ stairs – Low Impact. It is strongly encouraged that you leave bags at your hotel and avoid bringing any large items to the Opera House (anything larger than an 8×10″ sheet of paper). No luggage or large bags accepted. Travel on to famous Bondi Beach. Visit the beachfront promenade, enjoy a coffee or cool drink (at own cost), then continue on to Tamarama and Bronte beaches. After enjoying the salt and surf of Sydney’s best beaches, return to the city via Centennial Park and Paddington, a trendy district with elegant terrace houses and boutique shops.

Passengers can join an optional harbor lunch cruise or seaplane tour (additional expense). The designated harbor lunch cruise drop-off point is Darling Harbour (adjacent to the aquarium). If you do not wish to join a lunch cruise you will be returned directly to your hotel.

The Blue Mountains Deluxe Day is a real journey into the heart of a unique World Heritage Region. From temperate rainforests to towering sandstone escarpments, you’ll see and experience it all. Let the landscape work its wonders and become part of you for a lifetime.

Upon departing from the city, you will travel directly to the Blue Mountains and your first stop of the day is at Calmsley Hill Farm a working farm also home to Kangaroo, Emu, Wombat and Koala. Enjoy morning tea and time to wander at leisure.

From Calmsley Hill you will continue to ascend the Blue Mountains via the highway. Visit one of a range of stunning outlooks of the Jamison Valley seeing beautiful vistas. Where possible this will be away from the crowds of tours that visit the mountains each day with other operators, thus you will have the opportunity to enjoy a stress and hurry free environment taking in the views and information imparted by your guide.

Continuing on you will arrive at Eaglehawk Lookout, a remote lookout points away from the crowds for views of the famous 3 Sisters. Whilst the Blue Mountains features so much more than this natural attraction you can’t help but admire the unquestionable beauty of this amazing rock formation. The character of the Three Sisters changes throughout the day and throughout the seasons as the sunlight brings out the magnificent colors. Here your guide will discuss the legends behind this famous rock formation and time available for you to take some great photos.

Next you will be taken around the mountain towards the village of Blackheath and our lunch venue the Boiler House Cafe. Here in this relaxed venue with stunning views, you can enjoy a 2-course lunch with tea or coffee. All diets are catered for (excluding Kosher Meals). Please note that beverages can be purchased at your own expense from the Bar.

The afternoon is spent visiting a selection of lookouts. Once you clap your eyes on the view from Govetts Leap you’ll know why it’s one of the most famous lookouts in Australia. The magnificent waterfall drops a whopping 180m to the base of the cliff. If you’re not mesmerized by the dancing waves of water spray, you’ll be transfixed by the sweeping views down the valley to the Grose Wilderness.

Then take a brief stop to enjoy a glass of sparkling wine or orange juice at the delightful Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens, where you can enjoy the sweeping views across to Sydney before traveling down the Bells Line of Road to arrive back at your hotel approximately 4:30pm.
