Want to see Sydney’s spectacular beaches but don’t know where to start? Lace up your walking shoes and hit up the Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk, threading along five of Sydney’s sunniest beaches. This paved track runs along seaside clifftops, dappled and eroded by the exfoliating salt water, connecting the beaches together.

Rainforest Loop around the top of North Brother Mountain in the Dooragan National Park for 360-degree views and a picnic in the clouds.

Wauchope Old Bottlebutt is the largest Red Bloodwood tree in the southern hemisphere, 52-foot wide, and access is now easy along a short walk in the Burrawan State Forest.

Bago Vineyards & Maze is home to a hedge maze where along the pathways there are musical instruments and other hidden delights. Be sure to drop into their chocolate shop too for a tasting while you’re there.

Animal Encounters
Billabong Zoo has an exciting Africa Exhibit with lion cubs and cheetahs, plus the Jurassic Pond exhibit is home to a 15 foot monster croc called Shrek. There are shows and feeding times all day.

At Cassegrain Winery you’ll find the Port Macquarie Horseriding Centre where you can take a ride through the vines, or have a lesson in the sand arena.

Hire a BBQ Boat from Dunbogan Boatshed – gather the family, grab the fishing rods and relax on board a special BBQ boat while drifting down the Camden Haven River, no license is required.

Head to Swans Crossing and float down Upsalls Creek on an air bed or boogie board. The creek gurgles along and is clean, clear and cool. There are plenty of rocks for the kids to explore and clamber over, guaranteed to tucker the kids out so they sleep well that night!

A walk along this iconic breakwall, provides you with stunning views of the Hastings River towards Town Beach. The colourful grafitti rocks that lead you along the breakwall are a collage of messages, tributes and memories from visitors and locals. Sunrises and Sunsets are magical from the breakwall and the sight of dolphins playing in the river are a very regular occurrence.

Construction started in 1897 and ended in 1904 to help ships navigate the Hastings bar. 6 horse drawn carriages brought the rocks from a nearby quarry where the Birpai Local Aboriginal Land Council now sits.

A wonderful day awaits as you are transported on the historic Kuranda Scenic Rail through tunnels and across bridges to the famous village in the rainforest – Kuranda. Rainforestation, set in 40 hectares of lush gardens, is your next stop. Board the amphibious Army Duck and enjoy the Koala & Wildlife Park before having a BBQ lunch. Transfer back to Kuranda, then it’s time to board Skyrail for an amazing journey over and through the World Heritage Rainforest.

Kuranda Scenic Rail : At the scheduled time board the famous Kuranda Scenic Rail. An amazing journey awaits you as you travel one of the world’s most scenic rail routes, through hand-hewn tunnels and over bridges spanning spectacular gorges.

Kuranda Village : Once you arrive at beautiful Kuranda Station, you have ample time to explore the many and varied shops, as well as the Heritage Markets which boast a full array of colorful and interesting arts and crafts. You might also like to visit Birdworld, the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary or Kuranda Koala Gardens [at own expense].

Rainforestation : Your shuttle coach will transfer you to Rainforestation, set in 40 hectares of lush gardens and tropical rainforest, where a number of unique attractions await you. Board the unusual amphibious Army Duck for a different look at the rainforest. Also included in your tour is the Koala & Wildlife Park. The shuttle bus will then take you back to Kuranda.

Skyrail Rainforest Cableway: At the scheduled time, make your way directly to the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway boarding line – there is no need to queue as your tickets are already on your Boarding Pass. Once aboard, be amazed as you journey over and through World Heritage protected Rainforest – an iconic rainforest experience that includes time at spectacular lookouts at Red Peak and Barron Falls stations. Or visit the Rainforest Interpretation Centre. Complimentary guided boardwalk tours are offered throughout the day at Red Peak Station. After arriving at the Smithfield Skyrail station, you will be directed to your coach for the transfer to your accommodation.

The dinner is a buffet style meal and it may not always be possible to change a particular menu item to suit special requirements. Access to The Lagoon is easy here which is set overlooking the Barrier Reef and Trinity inlet and features all year free swimming where you can take a dip in this filtered saltwater lagoon. Let the kids can play in the sandy edges and in the shallow waters while you lounge on the semi-shaded timber decks. For the kids, don’t miss out on the Trinity Bay foreshore playground “Muddy” with equipment for all ages. For the older kids, stop off at the Skate Park to see some skaters and BMXers in action! Whether you decide to take a morning jog, fly a kite or just relax in the large grassy areas for some lunch you will surely enjoy the tropical lifestyle!
