Need to Know
Koala photos purchases/opportunities are available at the “Lone Pine Sanctuary Experience Hut” and availability will vary daily depending on the needs of the koalas. Meals/Snacks are available at own expense from the on-board cafe. There are 28 stairs required to climb from the boat to the sanctuary.

Fraser island is a place of exceptional beauty, with its long uninterrupted white beaches flanked by strikingly coloured sand cliffs, and over 100 freshwater lakes, some tea-coloured and others clear and blue all ringed by white sandy beaches. Ancient rainforests grow in sand along the banks of fast-flowing, crystal-clear creeks. It is the is the only place in the world where tall rainforests are found growing on sand dunes at elevations of over 200 metres. The low wallum heaths on the island are of particular evolutionary and ecological significance, and provide magnificent wildflower displays in spring and summer.

On this tour you will learn about the natural and cultural history of Fraser Island. Enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear blue waters of Lake McKenzie, which is the island’s most beautiful, perched lake. You will walk along the banks of Wanggoolba Creek as it flows silently through the rainforest, look up and marvel at the tall, majestic satinay trees of Pile Valley, and drive along the spectacular Seventy-Five Mile Beach. You will then stop to swim in the cool, fresh Eli Creek. This swift-flowing creek, which is the largest on the eastern beach, spills 80 mega litres (over 21 million gallons!) of water into the ocean every day. The tour will visit the historical Maheno shipwreck and you will also be able to admire the colored sands of the pinnacles. The tour includes lunch and refreshments, so all you need to pack is your sunscreen, swimwear, and sense of adventure!

Must be booked with a room/package at Kingfisher Bay Resort. All Passengers must be suitably restrained. Guests must request or supply their own child/booster seat. Children under 1 year of age are not permitted. This tour is off-road, so it is recommended that pregnant travelers, or people with certain medical conditions seek medical advice before booking. Please bring sunscreen, a hat, and a swimsuit. Wear comfortable clothing and footwear that you do not mind getting wet or dirty. This experience can be catered to your dietary needs. Phillip Island is home to an astounding array of wildlife, including Australia’s largest fur seal colony, little penguins and cuddly koalas. Get up close with the remarkable penguins and wildlife of Phillip Island.
Your unforgettable day will commence with a visit to Moonlit Sanctuary Conservation Park where you are guaranteed plenty of close encounters with an array of Australian native animals like kangaroos, wombats and echidnas.
Next stop is Phillip Island where, time/season permitting, you’ll drive to Woolamai Surf Beach to catch a glimpse of the awesome waves and die-hard surfers. Following this, you then travel over to the dramatic west coast of the island. At the Nobbies, you will stroll along the boardwalk to experience the waves crashing along this dramatic coastline and perhaps spot a few seals and some penguin nests.
Finally, your Phillip Island Day Tour is not complete without its black-tie gala event: the Penguin Parade. You will first head to the Visitor Center for a chance to shop and have a coffee. Then last but certainly not least, you will meander along the boardwalk to the viewing platform. It’s time to relax and let the show begin. The little penguins will waddle ashore, decked out in their tuxedos as they hurry off to find their burrows.

Today you’ll have the day free to Explore Melbourne City’s vast shopping centres, markets and boutiques, maybe do some souvenir shopping.
Melbourne is a Multicultural City boasting many boutique cafes, wineries and extensive shopping. You’ll also find it very easy to get around on the trains and trams, especially within the inners of Melbourne.

The Melbourne City Circle Tram travels a rectangular route along Flinders, Spring, LaTrobe and Spencer Streets right around the Melbourne city centre.
Not only is travel completely free on the City Circle Tram but you get a running commentary on the places of interest along its route. You can get off the tram at any of its stops, so you can visit particular attractions at close hand, and catch the next one.
Trams run in both directions every 12 minutes, seven days a week between 10am and 6pm (except Christmas Day and Good Friday), and during daylight-saving extended hours, 10am to 9pm every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Alternatively, there is a Free Tram Zone for all trams operating in Melbourne’s CBD. These free trams do not offer on-board commentary but are a convenient way to get around the city.
Flinders Lane is home to some of Melbourne’s finest Aboriginal and contemporary Art.
Flinders Lane is home to aboriginal and contemporary art styles that any art enthusiast would enjoy. Take a stroll down Flinders Lane and you will see that it boasts many dynamic art galleries, including several that focus solely on Aboriginal paintings, ceramics, sculptures and other artifacts.
