Free day to rest, relax or explore Moorea.
Moorea soars magically out of the ocean in an explosion of green velvet – what you would imagine a South Seas island to be. A wide, shallow lagoon surrounds the island’s vertical mountains where poetic threads of waterfalls tumble down fern-softened cliffs. Peaceful meadows flanked by pinnacles of green will fill your senses and renew your belief in the majesty of nature. Pastel-painted houses surrounded by gardens of hibiscus and birds of paradise, circle the island in a fantasy of happy, yet simple villages.
Easy and fun, this tour allows you to fully enjoy the beauty of the land of Moorea and explore places inaccessible to standard vehicles. Craters with steep lines, lush and varied plantations, rivers, panoramic views …
The tour starts with a short briefing to explain how to drive these engines. Drive on the main road until Opunohu bay and then reach the Belvedere panoramic view. After a short break and a short drive, the tour will stop at the agricultural school. This is the perfect place to drive slowly through the local vegetation and listen to the explanations of your guide about the tropical fruits, vegetables and their use in the Polynesian life.
Must by 18 yrs old to drive, valid license required

Come meet the Polynesians who will make you discover and share their culture, their art and their dances.
The Tiki Village is a re-created Polynesian village. This picturesque village, nestled by the lagoon of Haapiti, depicts the “old Tahiti” with its typical pandanus thatched-roof houses. There are several huts where Polynesian women or men demonstrate mat weaving, Tiki carving, flower leis and crown making, tatooing etc… For an entire evening, in a Polynesian village of yesterday, enjoy a typical Polynesian buffet featuring many dishes cooked in the traditional ground oven, roasted pig, chicken in Polynesian spinach, bread fruit, taro, fei, fish etc… Barbecue chicken and beef, and different kinds of salad are available as well. With flowers, coconut palms, burning torches…the feast decor and atmosphere are recreated just for you. During your meal, a trio of musicians will perform first, then a spectacular dance show will tell you all about Tahitian legends, all performed in the natural settings of an open air theatre with 60 artists, dancers and musicians. The highlight of the evening is the Fire dancing performed by young native men from Moorea.
Tour Operates Tuesday, Friday (January 1st to June 30th, then December 1st to December 30th), Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday (from July 1st to November 30th)
