Itinerary Details
(Day 1) - International Flight, Los Angeles to Auckland

Shortly after departing Los Angeles you will be served dinner and you will be given breakfast before landing in Auckland.

Relax, watch some movies, and try to get some sleep!

Please confirm with the airline at check-in that they have all your Frequent Flyer information on record (if applicable).

(Day 2) - New Zealand Domestic Flight, Auckland to Blenheim

Travel within New Zealand by domestic air from Auckland to Blenheim.

(Days 2 to 5) - 3 Nights at the Luxurious Timara Lodge in Blenheim

(Day 5) - New Zealand Domestic Flight, Blenheim to Christchurch

(Day 5) - New Zealand Domestic Flight, Christchurch to Dunedin

Travel by air today from Chirstchurch to Dunedin, New Zealand.

(Day 5 to 9) - 5 Day Car Rental, Pick up & Drop off in Dunedin

Discover New Zealand as you travel by rental car for five days.

Take the opportunity to explore parts of New Zealand in and around your vacation town. Please bring a valid American driver’s license with you and be aware that in New Zealand people drive on the left hand side of the road.

*Upgrade available to include GPS navigation system (additional cost).

(Day 5) - Self drive from Dunedin to Oamaru, New Zealand

Today on your New Zealand vacation, you will self-drive from Dunedin to Oamaru.

On your way to Oamaru, if you have the time to stop, Matakaea Reserve is stunning and full of New Zealand wildlife. Try to spot the rare Yellow Eyed Penguins, they swim ashore every afternoon. You might be able to see a Fur Seal or two, this is their territory watch as they glide beneath the waves, just as beautiful as mermaids. They will bask in the sun without a care in the world. While you’re at it, look out for the old schoolteacher’s house and sod cottage at Shag Point.

(Day 8) - Self drive from Oamaru to Dunedin, New Zealand

Today on your New Zealand vacation, you will drive from Oamaru to Dunedin.

On your way from Oamaru, take the time to enjoy the farming settlement of Waianakarua. The old stone bridge at Waianakarua was dismantled stone by stone in 2004, and rebuilt 2 metres wider to be used by the New Zealand State Highway network. You can even spot a historical site of an early flourmill, alongside the remains of a dam.

(Days 8 to 9) - 1 Night Accommodation in Dunedin

Spend 1 night in Dunedin on your New Zealand Vacation.

Located just a few minutes walk from the Dunedin City centre, your 5 star luxury lodge offers an atmosphere of restrained elegance while providing the ultimate in contemporary comfort and modern facilities.

Nestled in a secluded, established gardens the lodge complex is conveniently located within minutes of many of the citys finest and most popular cafes and restaurants.

(Day 9) - BusTransfer, Dunedin to Queenstown

Travel by bus from Dunedin to Queesntown, New Zealand.

(Day 9) - Transfer, Queenstown to Fiordland Lodge

Upon arrival into Queenstown meet with your pilot who will transfer you to Fiordland Lodge via Helicopter.

(Days 9 to 13) - 4 Nighs at the breathtaking Fiordland Lodge

Set in a World Heritage Area, Fiordland Lodge offers the leisure traveller style, comfort and privacy, and is the perfect base from where to explore Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound, and the surrounding Fiordland National Park.

Fiordland Lodge will be your exclusive retreat in Te Anau while you get the opportunity to discover one of the world’s most beautiful areas. It is an area where snow-capped mountains, rivers of ice, deep lakes, unbroken forests and tussock grasslands produce a landscape of exceptional beauty.

The Lodge itself sits on a superb rural site with rolling grass lands and has commanding views out across Lake Te Anau. Inside the open architecture of the Lodge reflects the vastness of the Fiordland National Park and echoes of the forest are found in the striking natural timber construction. In the lounge, a lattice work of huge log trusses soar to over thirty-six feet above and surround a large open fire, clad with local river stone.

(Day 13) - Transfer, Fiordland Lodge to Queenstown Airport

Transfer from Fiordland Lodge to Queenstown, New Zealand Airport.

(Day 13) - New Zealand Domestic Flight, Queenstown to Auckland

Travel within New Zealand by domestic air from Queenstown to Auckland (North Island).

(Day 13) - International Flight, Auckland to Los Angeles

Today depart Auckland and fly to the USA. Enjoy an in-flight dinner and movie with arrival in the USA. Note: you will be traveling back across the International Date Line. Gain that day back you lost on the way over, you actually arrive in the USA on the same day you leave Auckland.

Note: Flight may include a stop over in Australia.
