Day 1: Welcome to Cairns

Your adventure starts in Far North Queensland. This evening, meet your Travel Director for a Welcome Reception and privately hosted Be My Guest dinner at the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park.

Day 2: Great Barrier Reef

Get ready for the experience of a lifetime when you board a high-speed catamaran and cruise to the Great Barrier Reef. You’ll have the opportunity to go snorkeling (equipment provided), or view the coral and tropical fish from the underwater observatory and semi-submersible craft. Enjoy a tropical buffet lunch on board before you return to Cairns.

Day 3: Cairns

Today is free for you to do as you choose! Perhaps take an optional experience to the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park for an insightful look at indigenous culture, or journey to Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures for an opportunity to encounter native Australian animals. Or maybe travel to the ‘village in the rainforest’ on the Kuranda Scenic Railway and return to the lowlands on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway.

Day 4: Cairns – Uluru

Fly from Cairns to Uluru. On arrival, join a local Aboriginal artist for an introduction to Western Desert art. Your Anangu artist will explain local totems, then help you complete your own painting to take home as a memento. Then enjoy a leisurely drive through the red desert plains to Kata Tjuta. View the majestic sandstone domes of Kata Tjuta as the outback sun sets over this ancient, mysterious landform.

Day 5: Uluru

This morning view the magical Uluru sunrise. Afterwards, gain insight in to the traditional owners of the land, the Anangu, as you tour the caves at the base of Uluru discovering ancient rock art and hearing stories of the Aboriginal Dreamtime. This evening, relax with sparkling wine as you witness an iconic Uluru sunset. Savor the flavors of an Aussie barbecue dinner in the shadow of Uluru, while a local expert shares insights into the wonders of the southern night sky.

Day 6: Uluru – Sydney

Depart the resort in total darkness for the short drive to Bruce Munro’s renowned Field of Light. Wander through the paths surrounding 50,000 hand-crafted frosted glass spheres of light, in colors of ochre, deep violet, blue and gentle white. Later, fly to Sydney where your evening is free to explore.

Day 7: Sydney

A day of sightseeing in this stunning harbor city awaits you. Take a sneak peek behind the scenes on a guided tour of the iconic Sydney Opera House, then explore Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs and put your feet in the sand on famous Bondi Beach. Later, take to the water for a lunch cruise on board one of the harbor’s most premier vessels, enjoying a fresh seasonal menu while you glide past magnificent waterfront homes, beaches and parklands. Then spend the rest of the day seeing the sights of your choice. This evening, you might like to consider attending an optional performance under the iconic sails of the Sydney Opera House.

Day 8: Sydney

Enjoy a full free day in exciting Sydney. Maybe take an optional experience to the Blue Mountains or climb the iconic Sydney Harbor Bridge on a ‘BridgeClimb’. Spend your last evening in Sydney together along with your Travel Director and companions at a local waterfront restaurant.

Day 9: Sydney – Queenstown

Say goodbye to Australia and fly to Queenstown in New Zealand. Begin your New Zealand adventure with a visit to historic Arrowtown, just minutes from Queenstown. This evening, join your Travel Director at The Boatshed, set in the historic New Zealand Railways Shipping Office built in 1936. Renovated and relocated to its lakefront setting, The Boatshed, with its spectacular views of Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables mountain range, is the perfect venue for your exclusive Highlight Dinner.

Day 10: Queenstown

Get the feel for real country life at a Be My Guest experience with your host, Southern Girl Laura, who was born and raised on a sheep farm in the deep south of New Zealand. Try your hand at sheep mustering, whip cracking as well as the chance to feed and pet the farm animals. Laura is sure you’ll leave feeling more like a local than a visitor.

Day 11: Queenstown

Your final day in Queenstown could see you take an optional experience through Fiordland National Park for a cruise on Milford Sound.

Day 12: Queenstown  – Rotorua

Fly to Rotorua, New Zealand’s indigenous capital of Maori culture. At Mitai Māori Village this evening, experience the heart pounding wero (challenge) from a Māori warrior during a ceremonial welcome to a traditional village, where you’ll gain an insight into life in New Zealand prior to the arrival of European settlers. Then enjoy a Māori Hangi Highlight Dinner, with succulent meats and vegetables cooked in an underground oven.

Day 13: Rotorua

At Rainbow Springs Nature Park, you’ll get a glimpse of native fauna and maybe spot a shy kiwi. Continue to Whakarewarewa Living Thermal Village, where a Māori local guide will accompany you on a tour to see bubbling mud-pools, steaming thermal springs and New Zealand’s biggest geyser.

Day 14: Rotorua – Auckland

Discover a galaxy of twinkling glowworms this morning in the mysterious Waitomo Caves. Travel on to Auckland for a city tour, and a Farewell Dinner with your Travel Director.
