The Melbourne City Circle Tram travels a rectangular route along Flinders, Spring, LaTrobe and Spencer Streets right around the Melbourne city centre.

Not only is travel completely free on the City Circle Tram but you get a running commentary on the places of interest along its route. You can get off the tram at any of its stops, so you can visit particular attractions at close hand, and catch the next one.

Trams run in both directions every 12 minutes, seven days a week between 10am and 6pm (except Christmas Day and Good Friday), and during daylight-saving extended hours, 10am to 9pm every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Alternatively, there is a Free Tram Zone for all trams operating in Melbourne’s CBD. These free trams do not offer on-board commentary but are a convenient way to get around the city.

Your trip out to the reef will take just 90 minutes, with five hours spent on the outer reef. We’ll select two of the best Great Barrier Reef snorkelling sites. These are chosen on a daily basis by the vessel Captains for the best variety and visibility according to the weather conditions.

There are 17 exclusive moorings on the Outer Great Barrier Reef at Norman, Saxon and Hastings reefs. This tour operator uses a wide variety of these to ensure a minimal environmental impact to the pristine coral formations we visit. Go on a cruise on a catamaran to an all-weather platform on the Great Barrier Reef, one of the natural wonders of the world, and not surprisingly the world’s most extensive coral reef.

On arrival at the Great Barrier Reef, you will be provided some handy tips on the correct use of snorkelling equipment and then help fit you with a mask, snorkel and fins so you can take to the water with confidence. The snorkel area is supervised at all times and personal flotation devices are readily available in adult and child sizes. Stairs lead down from the main deck to a submersed snorkel platform where you can sit down and put on your mask and fins. Access to the water could not be easier with the snorkel platform opening directly into a shallow, bright and sheltered coral lagoon.

Floating snorkeller rest stations are strategically located around the site where you can take a rest at any time. This prevents tired snorkellers standing on and damaging the corals and is part of our commitment to ensuring our site is kept in it’s current pristine condition.

Tour Restrictions:
Great Barrier Reef Tour: Price does not include transfers, but Marlin Jetty is a very short walk from your hotel. Transfers can be added on request (additional cost). Departure subject to weather conditions. Does not operate on Christmas. This tour may require $20AUD EMC, Port Authority & fuel levy per person per day to be paid at Check-in.

Walk Melbourne Foodie Tour: Does not operate on Sundays. Not a great options for small children. Not available March 9, April 10 – 13, 25, June 8 or September 25, 2020.
