Days 3 to 4 - Free Days to Explore Sydney

With Sydney at your fingertips, take the chance to explore the Darling Harbour area at your leisure, which is a modern collection of Shopping Malls, Parkland, Restaurants and Harbour Front activities.

Walk to Circular Quay and catch a ferry to our wonderful harbour-side Taronga Park Zoo, or take the 30 minute ferry ride to Manly Beach, Sydney’s premier beach resort. Here you can enjoy the laid back beach culture as well as many festivals and events. If you prefer to stay closer to downtown Sydney, Bondi Beach is approximately a 10 minute train ride and is one of Australia’s most famous and iconic beaches. Save some time to take a beach walk from Bondi Beach to Bronte Beach, it’s known to be a true highlight. If visiting on a weekend then go to the Rocks Market and shop for local Arts, Crafts & unique Australian Souvenirs.

Your informative and knowledgeable guide will collect you from your Sydney hotel. Departing from the city, travel north over the Sydney Harbour Bridge via the Gore Hill Freeway to join the Pacific Highway and then the F3 freeway.

180 years young, this is Australia’s oldest and best-known wine region and is soaked in history. It’s a dynamic and fascinating area that brims with over 150 top class wineries, 65 indulgent restaurants as well as gourmet produce and boutique breweries. Your first visit is to a 5-star winery nestled in the Mount View region of the Hunter Valley, a well renowned viticulture area. Sample exquisite wines in your own private area.

From here, continue onto Leogate Estate. This opulent cellar door is the perfect place to enjoy that unique taste which only the Hunter Valley and their award-winning wines can provide. All wines produced from the great vines of one of the most highly regarded vineyards in Australia. Here you will enjoy a selection of cheeses to accompany the wine tasting, followed by a tour of the onsite winery to learn of the wine making process.

After lunch, travel to Keith Tulloch Winery. This small completely family owned winery and vineyard produces wines that express the unique terrain and climate from the ancient soils of the Brokenback Range. Achieve exhilaration and personal satisfaction as you climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge. For approximately 3.5 hours you and 11 other eager climbers will join a climb guide and weave through catwalks, climb up ladders and then arrive at the most spectacular point of all – the upper arch climb. The steady incline to the upper arch leaves you free to focus your attention on your Sydney experience, with opportunities for 360 degree views of Sydney, including east to the ocean, west to the mountains and the harbor city surrounds.

Optional Day Tour (Not Included) - Blue Mountains Deluxe Day Tour - Full Day

The Blue Mountains Deluxe Day is a real journey into the heart of a unique World Heritage Region. From temperate rainforests to towering sandstone escarpments, you’ll see and experience it all. Let the landscape work its wonders and become part of you for a lifetime.

Upon departing from the city, you will travel directly to the Blue Mountains and your first stop of the day is at Calmsley Hill Farm a working farm also home to Kangaroo, Emu, Wombat and Koala. Enjoy morning tea and time to wander at leisure.

From Calmsley Hill you will continue to ascend the Blue Mountains via the highway. Visit one of a range of stunning outlooks of the Jamison Valley seeing beautiful vistas. Where possible this will be away from the crowds of tours that visit the mountains each day with other operators, thus you will have the opportunity to enjoy a stress and hurry free environment taking in the views and information imparted by your guide.

Continuing on you will arrive at Eaglehawk Lookout, a remote lookout points away from the crowds for views of the famous 3 Sisters. Whilst the Blue Mountains features so much more than this natural attraction you can’t help but admire the unquestionable beauty of this amazing rock formation. The character of the Three Sisters changes throughout the day and throughout the seasons as the sunlight brings out the magnificent colors. Here your guide will discuss the legends behind this famous rock formation and time available for you to take some great photos.

Next you will be taken around the mountain towards the village of Blackheath and our lunch venue the Boiler House Cafe. Here in this relaxed venue with stunning views, you can enjoy a 2-course lunch with tea or coffee. All diets are catered for (excluding Kosher Meals). Please note that beverages can be purchased at your own expense from the Bar.

The afternoon is spent visiting a selection of lookouts. Once you clap your eyes on the view from Govetts Leap you’ll know why it’s one of the most famous lookouts in Australia. The magnificent waterfall drops a whopping 180m to the base of the cliff. If you’re not mesmerized by the dancing waves of water spray, you’ll be transfixed by the sweeping views down the valley to the Grose Wilderness.

Then take a brief stop to enjoy a glass of sparkling wine or orange juice at the delightful Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens, where you can enjoy the sweeping views across to Sydney before traveling down the Bells Line of Road to arrive back at your hotel approximately 4:30pm.

On Saturdays and Sundays, be sure to check out the market held at the northern end of George Street. Perfect for gifts and souvenir shopping, it has more than 150 stalls selling quality crafts, home wares, jewelry and Australian-designed goods, all under a unique sail-like canopy.

With the transport to The Rocks serviced by the Explorer and just a five minute walk from the Circle Quay it is easy to get here. The Sydney Visitors Centre on the corner of Argyle & Playfair Streets at The Rocks: open 9.30am – 5.30pm every day of the year (except Christmas Day and Good Friday). A 90-minutue ferry ride takes you down the beautiful Swan River, out to the Indian Ocean and drops you off at Rottnest Island.

Pick up your bike from the ferry. With no cars on the roads, cycling is one of the best ways to get around the island.

When you get off the ferry, head over to the Rottnest Island Visitor Centre as you enter the island for a map and check out free tours Rottnest Island offers. Grab some water and picnic supplies at the general store or a café in Thomson Bay Settlement and start your island adventure!

See the Salt Lakes
Bike around the salt lakes of the island taking in the flora and fauna of the region. If you’re lucky, Pink Lake might even show it’s subtle pink hue.

Explore Military History
You can opt to take a 1 hour walking tour of the restored WWII 9.2 underground maze of tunnels at Oliver Hill.

Head to the Beach
With 63 beaches, Rottnest Island is a great destination for water sports, including swimming, diving, surfing, fishing and snorkeling. Ask your destination specialist about adding snorkeling gear to your booking. Little Salmon Bay, The Basin and Little Parakeet Bay are a few favorites!

Go whale watching
This is the perfect location to see humpback and southern right whales. In April, about 35,000 whales travel past the island. From late August to November, the whales and their newborn calves spend a significant time around Rottnest Island’s protected waters. Head to West End Boardwalk for the best whale lookout.

Meet a Quokka
Rottnest Island is home to the cutest and most photogenic animal in the world, the quokka. These tiny, kangaroo-like animals are found in abundance on the island and are very curious. They often come right up to visitors allowing many people to capture the infamous #QuokkaSelfie.

Meet one of the volunteer guides at the Meeting Post, located outside the Salt Store in the Main Settlement at 2:15pm for a 45 minute walking tour to learn about this iconic and mysterious animal and watch them in their natural habitat.

Time Travel
Not literally, but a stroll through the main settlement feels like journey back in time! The early colonial cottages date back to the mid-1800s and are a fun sight for anyone interested in history.

Wajemup Hill
Head to Wadjemup Hill and experience the breathtaking 360 degree views from Wadjemup Lighthouse. The crystal sapphire Indian Ocean waters frame a stunning picture of the Island. Take a tour and explore a real working lighthouse.

Day 7 - Day Tour, Margaret River Explorer

Enjoy exploring the Margaret River region, including Mammoth Cave, Busselton Jetty, a brewery, Boranup Forest, Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse & a world reowned winery!

You’ll travel south from Perth driving through farmland with grazing cattle and passing by coastal towns. Arriving at Busselton, known as the gateway to the Margaret River Region you stop for morning tea (own expense) at the iconic Busselton Jetty, the longest timber jetty in the southern hemisphere.

You’ll head into the heart of the region and stop at one of Margaret River’s oldest breweries for a gourmet platter lunch of local produce, with complimentary beer and cider tastings. 

Following lunch, you’ll continue south to an internationally renowned winery to taste some of their best award winning wines, whilst gaining some industry insight on wine production with the opportunity to purchase.

Next it’s on to Mammoth Cave for a guided tour through this gothic cave with vast chambers that reveal fascinating information on the regions flora and fauna. Continuing south, through the Boranup Forest of enormous Karri Trees you’ll reach the most fascinating part of the region Augusta. Here at Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, marvel at the dividing point between the Southern and Indian Oceans, a rare phenomenon to view the meetings of the two Oceans.

Then you’ll head North up to the township of Margaret River for a brief stop to stroll the main street. After a long, but fantastic day exploring the wonderful Margaret River region, your bus will break at a restaurant en route for a light dinner (own expense) then it’s back to Perth arriving at approximately 9:30pm.

Winery may not open on select public holidays. Tour will pick you up at or near your hotel between 7:00 and 7:30am and drop you off between 9:30 and 10:00pm (See voucher for details).

Spend the day touring the world-renowned Pinnacles Desert. Highlights include off-road driving, sand boarding, feeding kangaroos, photographing koalas and wildflowers (seasonal). OR have a fascinating day out combining the history of Australia’s only Benedictine Abbey with the world renowned Swan Valley wine and local produce region with seasonal wildflowers.

Pinnacles & Wildlife Tour PerthCaversham Wildlife Park
Featuring over 200 species of animals in a walk-through environment this park is a must visit in Western Australia. Animals include friendly koalas, wombats and numerous kangaroos. Be fascinated by wildlife professionals who are dedicated to ensuring you have the best opportunity for animal interaction.

The Lobster Shack
Take a tour of a live lobster processing plant. A video presentation gives you an insight into this marvellous industry. Follow on through to the factory overhead walkway where you stand directly above 20 tonnes of live rock lobster. Enjoy the audio guide and travel through at your own pace. Following this tour, take a break and enjoy our included Fish and Chips lunch or alternatively upgrade to the special Lobster Lunch at an extra $25/pp. (Must be pre-booked)

Pinnacles Desert
Take a stroll through this eerie desert, amongst the iconic Pinnacles, believed to have been created millions of years ago when seashells were broken down into sand and then eroded by water and wind.

Cervantes
Western Australia’s gateway town to the Pinnacles Desert, Cervantes is a laid back fishing town north of Perth. Be sure to take in the lobster fishing industry as you travel through this town.

Nambung National Park
Covering 17,491 hectares, the Nambung National Park is home to Western Australia’s renowned Pinnacles Desert.

Lancelin
Experience the adventure and thrill of 4-wheel driving over the biggest white sand dunes of Western Australia. For those wanting more adventure, your adrenaline will be pumping as you sand board down these massive dunes.

Wildflowers (Seasonal)
Stop to view wildflowers throughout the tour whilst they are in season. Varieties include the orange flowering Christmas Tree, Kangaroo Paw, Banksia, Wattle and Everlastings.

Benedictine History Tour PerthNew Norcia Museum and Art Gallery
A little piece of Spain comes alive in this town, full of history, art and architecture. The town’s main attraction is the museum and art gallery. In the museum you will find extraordinary artefacts dating back to when New Norcia was an Aboriginal mission, a hub for farming and a diverse town for education and culture.

New Norcia Abbey Church and St Gertrude’s College
The Abbey Church is home to one of only two large Moser organs, originally crafted in Germany, this organ was imported to Australia in the 1920s. Visit St Gertrude’s College, a grand gothic style building which was originally built as a girls boarding school and opened in 1908.

New Norcia Hotel
The New Norcia Hotel is an iconic landmark of the town filled with fascinating antique history. Whilst here enjoy a delicious fish and chips lunch with the opportunity to purchase a taster of the famous Abbey Ale.

Swan Valley Wine Region
The closest wine region to any capital city in Australia. The Swan Valley is world renowned for it’s long standing history in Western Australia’s wine industry, it is also commonly referred to as Perth’s Valley of Taste filled with a variety of providores offering such delights as chocolate, nougat and gourmet nuts.

Stop to view wildflowers throughout the tour whilst they are in season. Varieties include the orange flowering Christmas Tree, Kangaroo Paw, Banksia, Wattle and Everlastings.

Wildflower season commences September through to early November. Profusion of wildflowers depends on weather and other conditions, therefore we cannot guarantee sightings.

Melbourne is a Multicultural City boasting many boutique cafes, wineries and extensive shopping. You’ll also find it very easy to get around on the trains and trams, especially within the inners of Melbourne.

Optional Day Tour (Not Included) - Ballooning over Melbourne

Enjoy an experience of a lifetime as you take a magical sunrise hot air balloon flight over the beautiful city of Melbourne.

There are few major cities in the world that can be traversed by hot air balloon and there is certainly no better way to take in Australia’s second largest city then by taking this flight. In the early morning light, your balloon drifts by the array of parks and gardens that make Melbourne the world’s most livable city. As the city comes to life you will look down from your balloon onto some of the city’s iconic sporting venues like the MCG, Melbourne Park and Albert Park Racetrack. If you are looking for a romantic, soft adventure that gives you a peek at city life from a totally different angle, then ballooning over Melbourne is a must. Finish the morning with a shuttle back to the metting location.
