Melbourne

You’ll start making memories on your Australia vacation in amazing Melbourne. A favorite city of many of our Australian Specialists, this place will definitely bring some perspective to your life. You too will soon come to understand why Melbourne is known as “The World’s Most Livable City”:

You’ll spend 3 nights in Australia’s most stylish city, with its passion for food & wine, lively arts scene and major events & festivals.

On your second day in Melbourne, meet famous Australian Wildlife.  You’ll head out to Phillip Island on a guided mid-sized group tour. This jam packed day is full of quintessential Australia experiences!

• You’ll get up close and personal with Australia’s popular native animals and see some lesser known but equally adorable endangered species.
• Witness Australian sheep shearing, taste local artisan chocolate and visit koalas in the wild.
• Stroll along Phillip Island’s rocky coast taking in the sounds of the ocean.
• Witness thousands of tiny penguins waddle from the ocean on their way home for the night. This package includes access to an exclusive viewing area.

The following day, you’ll really get to know the city on a local-guided walking tour of the hidden laneways and arcades of the city. You’ll uncover hidden gems, unique shops, intimate bars, restaurants and inspiring murals that are tucked away in Melbourne’s laneways that you might’ve otherwise missed. Return to a spot that caught your eye for a refreshing pint or a delightful lunch of eclectic eats. You’ll soon be feeling like a Melbourne local yourself!

Cairns

Next you’ll fly up to sunny Cairns. This sea-side city is brimming with all things Aussie.

• Safe & fun atmosphere with great food and friendly people.
• Gateway to two famous World Heritage Sites – The Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest.
• Year round sunny, sub-tropical climate.

Spend your first day exploring the city. Cairns is a tropical town with friendly locals and amazing food. Walk the esplanade and see the unique shops and cafes that make this city a regular vacation spot for tourists and native Aussies alike.

Did we mention that Cairns is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef? It’s the main reason many people make their way to the city and no wonder, this amazing site holds some hefty accolades under its belt.

• Largest living organism on the planet.
• One of the “Seven Natural Wonders” of the world.
• A UNESCO World Heritage Site (actually, the largest World Heritage Site, but who’s counting!)

You’ll see for yourself the beauty and importance of the Great Barrier Reef up close with a snorkeling cruise where you can play your own game of “finding Nemo”. Set out on a catamaran to an all-weather, docked Reef viewing platform.

You’ll have 5 hours at sea to explore the Reef at your leisure. Swim around and see schools of amazing tropical fish and the amazing rainbow of colored coral through pristine, clear water.

Like to see the reef without getting wet? Try out the topside viewing areas like the Semi-Submersible, the Glass Bottom Boat and the Underwater Reef Viewing Observatory. You’ll also be treated to a buffet lunch of amazing, fresh food.

Spend your free day in Cairns as you wish. It’s the perfect place to laze away your days hanging out by the lagoon or get active with some amazing adventures. Try whitewater rafting, horseback riding, feeding a kangaroo or head to the Daintree Rainforest for some real “wow!” moments. It’s the oldest living rainforest in the world (even older than the Amazon!) and is a “living museum” of Aussie plants and animals. We have quite a few tours of the rainforest including one in Daintree where an Aboriginal guide teaches you how to spear mud crabs and cook freshly gathered seafood. Another tour takes you into the Kuranda rainforest, just a half hour outside of Cairns, where you can soar through the jungle on the Skyrail Cableway into a remote village then take a scenic train back to civilization.

At this point, you’ve already made a mountain of amazing memories, but your trip doesn’t end here.

Sydney

Head down to Sydney and continue your Australian adventure in Australia’s oldest and most well-known world class city.

Sydney is a populous, cosmopolitan city with an endless array of things to do.

• Famed site of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge.

Start your Sydney stay in style with a Harbour lunch cruise. Hop aboard a luxury yacht for a small-group cruise with a personal touch. This isn’t your average, garishly branded tourist boat. You’ll feel like you’re aboard the personal yacht of an old friend as they share the rich history of the Harbour with you. Then, enjoy a 3-course BBQ lunch among the company of a small, exclusive group of travelers. Try on-board activities, swim, fish, kayak or simply relax and enjoy the gentle sway of the Harbour beneath you. You’ll also enjoy an Opera House Tour which will give you an inside look at one of Australia’s most famous landmarks.

Your remaining days in Sydney promise to be as relaxing or as active as you wish. Sydney’s guided tours are an amazing way to see some of the best sites. Get your adrenaline pumping with a guided climb to the dizzying top of the Harbour Bridge for the best views.

Maybe take a day away from the city and visit the breathtaking Blue Mountains. This National Park features incredible hikes and expansive views. Just outside of Sydney proper, the Blue Mountains are a great, accessible way to see the amazing Aussie outdoors. We have a great tour that takes you to all the best lookouts and you’ll get to pet a koala and feed a few kangaroos along the way!

Crazy for wine?  Take a luxury wine tour out to Hunter Valley! With rich soils fed by the Hunter, Goulburn, Williams and Paterson rivers and a temperate climate, the Hunter Valley produces some of the world’s best wines and has some of the oldest vine stocks in the world.
